Calvert Angling Club was founded in 1936 and was originally run by London Brick Sports and Social Club, the only water was the bottom lake at Claydon House.

In 1986 the Social club ceased to exist and the club became independent of LBC. IT was at this time that the club negotiated the lease on the waters on the old LBC site now known as Itters Pit.

Calvert Angling Club is run by a committee made up of the following members:

Membership runs from 1st June to 31st May and the waters are open as follows:

Claydon Lake:

1st June to 31st December, Closed January, 1st February to 31st March, Closed April & May

Membership Fees:

Adults – £45.00 (Adults £10.00 joining fee)

Senior Citizens – £20.00

Concessionary – £20.00

Juniors – £7.50

Students – £15.00 (Age 16-18yrs in Full Time Education)
