Here at Calvert Angling Club we have two waters in the heart of Buckinghamshire, Itters Pit just outside the village of Calvert and also Claydon Bottom lake, a classic estate lake nestled within the beautiful grounds of the Claydon Estate.
As a club we have invested heavily to protect our waters from the blight of predation and are proud to have both of our waters fully otter fenced.
The Club was formed in 1936 and was originally formed by London Brick Sports and Social Club, part of the historic brickworks where the village of Calvert is now situated.
Calvert Angling Club is affiliated with Milton Keynes Angling Club and their licenses are available to our members at reduced rates

Lake Stock
Between the two lakes we run we have a diverse range of strains and species of fish to keep the angler coming back time and again.
Claydon Lower Lake nestled in the Claydon Estate is a historical Catfish water, with the fish that reside within the lake direct decedents of the original wells catfish from the Woburn Estate. These are much coveted fish as a result of the unfortunate increase of illegally stocked foreign fish that proliferate many other catfish waters. A large head of carp ranging from "Cricket Bat" wildy strain commons to beautiful full scales mirrors are all present. There is good head of Bream, the odd Tench and large numbers of silvers for the pleasure and matchman alike.
Itters Pit is stocked with the a mix of mirrors and commons, with the resident queen of the pond being a fish named "The Sargeant" because of its three distinctive scales. This fish has recently been caught at over 30lbs so is much sought after. A few catfish pushing the 40lb barrier are present as well as a good head of small Pike. The silvers can be seen in large shoals and are plentiful in th gin clear water.
Itters Pit recently benefitted from a stocking of 6 C4 fast growing strain mirror carp to mix up the blood line a little and push the existing stock on.
We have plans to introduce more fish to both lakes later on in the 2021-22 season.
